Our Methodology / The way we do things
We like to keep things as simple as possible, because we know how mind boggling setting up a website for your business can be. If you are still unsure of which package would best suit your project, we are always happy to arrange a free one-to-one design consultation.
Stage 1 : Pre-Design (First Installment/Deposit Due)
The first thing we will focus on is having a good old chat about the finer details of your project. We also ask that you make your first payment, which is 50% of your total project cost.
Once we have recieved your deposit we will go ahead and install your shopping cart software (if that's applicable to you). At this point we will need you to put together a list of your pages, content and categories and send that over to us, where we will apply it to your software. You will also recieve a welcome package via email, which you will need to have a good read through!
Once we have all of the required info, we will be ready to begin the tutorial process with you, and guide you in how to begin adding your own content and products. It is best if you dedicate some time in your schedule to working on adding content.
Stage 2 : Concept/Layout Design (Final Installment Due)
At this point we require your second installment which is 50% of your total project cost.We also will ask that you complete the design questionaire (which was sent in your welcome package). The questionaire helps us to gain an insight into what your inspirations are, and what your ultimate goals are for your project.
Once we have discussed all of your needs fully, we can begin working on the logo design. Once your logo is complete (and you are 100% happy with the result) we will move on to the overall layout design. We will send you a set of drafts, and once you are 110% happy with the design we will begin working on the other pages (item detail page, category page and shopping cart, etc). We will also be working on your extras including your business cards, templates etc.
It is at this point that we ask for the final installment (the remaining 50% of the total cost of your project), and we pass all copyright and property rights of the design over to you.
Stage 3 : Installation and Setup
The final phase is installation and setup of your website. This is where we begin to turn the design into a working site. We will work on the coding and programming until every aspect of your site works perfectly! Once we are happy with the look, feel and functionality of the site, we will give you your second tutorial on the administrative features of your shop (if applicable to you).
So after we are happy that the site looks and works great, we're ready for your big launch! We will continue to support you with any questions you have after this as you are always part of the family!
